This episode’s guests are Sweden’s very own Skatan Milla and Yagami, two of the best players in the country. Skatan Milla uses Chun Li and Yagami uses Dhalsim. Both placed in Top 8 at Dreamhack Winter this past November and this podcast was recorded at Dragon’s Lair in Stockholm, Sweden in early December.

This podcast was recorded at Dreamhack Winter 2009 last month in Sweden after the SF4 tournament which Ryan Hart won. I asked him and the UK’s other SF4 shining star Zak Bennet to be on the show to talk about how things have changed since 3rd Strike, the future of SF4, the Dreamhack tourney, etc. This tournament was pretty epic in terms of scope and prize money with about $7500 on the line and Swedish TV broadcasting the event.
For those who aren’t too familiar with the UK scene, Ryan Hart and Zak are the UK’s best players and I’ve had them on my show way back when they came out to Evo 2008 last summer so it’s good to catch up with them again. Anyhow, topics of the show include:

This is a video from West Coast Warzone SF4 Top 8 featuring San Diego’s Gen-master Yeb vs. Gamestop SF4 National Top 16 Finalist fLoE. The winner of this match went on to fight SoCal’s rising Dhalsim star, UTJ. It’s a noteworthy match because as far as I know, this is the first time a Gen player has made a big splash in a major tournament. Yeb definitely made a name for himself as one of San Diego’s best. Gen is not a widely used character in the SF4 community due to…well, the fact that he’s Gen.
As for the other videos, they’re coming along nicely, due to the editing efforts of Cami. Those will be posted on West Coast Warzone Videos within the next few days so please sign up for the email list to get notified when they’re released.
