This is a project that I’ve had in the works for a few months now. It’s a high level super in-depth interview with one of the best players in Southern California, Ed Ma. We go into a ton of technical details such as frame advantage, countering Ultras, etc.

Thanks a lot for this. I found it really informative and would love to see more, maybe even with some video now that you can use the console version to show things a long with the audio.

Can you annotate some of the terms here for those of us who are beginners? Throughout the cast, Ed uses a few ambiguous terms like short, jab, forward, and roundhouse, but I’m not sure what button presses these equate to exactly.

Just ordered this. Haven’t listened to it yet, but I just wanted to stop in to say thanks for sharing all the information. It’s a big help to people like me who live in an area that doesn’t have a large community of fighting game lovers. Keep up the good work!

Have to say I haven’t listened to it fully yet, being in the UK with no access to the game really i wanted to wait until the game is released on consoles. Thankfully today it has, so i will be giving it my full attention shortly (especially since Ken will probably be my main judging from the good times I’ve had with him SFIV thus far) From the the stuff I have listened to it sounds very useful

can u make a series like this focusing on your balrog? im maining rog as of right now and im doing fairly well online on ps3 but its still not as solid as i would like it to be. THAT i would def. pay for but i dont play ken and ken is weak shit in sf4 compared to his 3s counterpart.
^or maybe focusing on charge characters in general

Great album with Ed Ma. It’s really useful to get insight on how top players think and approach the game. You mentioned on the last track that there was a bonus section on the site. I’ve tried many different URL iterations of “street-fighter-4-secrets” + “bonus” but none of them seem to work. What is the proper address?
Also, the “Street Fighter 4 Secrets page” link on this page goes to an invalid URL apparently. It generates a 404 error when you click on it.
