This has got to be my favorite podcast. It feels like a trip through time. Whenever I get a chance I listen to this podcast. I’ve probably heard it over 15 times and never gets boring. The questions in the podcast led Alex to describe the early scene of Street Fighter perfectly. Nice interview Gootecks.

Hey gootecks,

SRK shot me over to your podcasts; keep it up man. It’s very refreshing to actually hear players’ voices, outside of random match videos and reading posts. I’m one of those guys who grew up with Street Fighter 2 but didn’t know any better; didn’t take fighting games seriously until Soul Calibur 2 and Guilty Gear; and just now got into the whole competitive scene (for SC4), so all this is really cool for someone in between playing casually and competitively. It’s been a lot of fun rolling through your podcasts. Keep it up!

A good history lesson, and im very excited to hear JustinW’s progress in Sf4…because hes going to be heading here to TX for a sf4 tournament at aUFO.

Its definitely an exciting time for sf4 now that people are deciding to travel and play, hope I can make it up to california sometime!!!

Alex Valle has always been something of an icon, right from back in the day in the tournament results in the Gamepro magazines. I’m very interested to hear that he potentially has something in the works
