Find a good place to play that people like going to such as a restaurant and a bar. Set up a deal with them where you guys can play every week. Get recording gear and record top 8. Do not worry about streaming unless you don’t think you’ll feel bad if nobody watches it. YouTube is better because you can build an archive that will grow over time

I feel that a lot of times when I play, I repeat bad habits of mine, such as throwing fireballs when I shouldn't or jumping in when I shouldn't. What are some ways to break bad habits like these or any other ones?

Play online and commit to spending X amount of time NOT hitting a button (ONLY block) or NOT jumping. Maybe you spend the second round (after you’ve won doing that) or maybe you just say for 30 seconds I will not jump. Less is more, you don’t need to always be doing stuff.

What's going on gootecks? Been a long time fan of yours and Cross Counter as well. Here's my question to you. I've been playing fighting games since I can remember and I've always played pad. Here within the last couple of months, I decided that I wanted to get more serious with them and bought me a joystick. I never realized that switching to stick after never, ever learning how to play with one, is one of the toughest things ever. Any tips/hints you can share with me on how to adjust better.

Stick with pad if it works better for you. There are certain things that seem easier on pad such as 360 shortcuts and people can’t hear your buttons. I prefer stick cuz I’ve always played stick, but if you’re more comfortable on pad, there’s no reason to switch. Also there aren’t a lot of good stick training videos out there..HINT HINT MAD CATZ, HORI, EIGHTARC, etc….I KNOW A GUY…. ;) So that’s probably why you’re not very good with it.

hey its MartianPanda again and i have a very serious question to ask you. i main cody and when i started with him i was decently above average compared to the people i fought but ever since i hit the 5000 BP mark its been a downhill decline. i now have 4500 BP with him and i went from about 1500 PP to 700-800 BP in a matter of days. is there some sort of reason for this? it's really getting depressing and i have even had thoughts of quitting :(

Pretty sure when you cross 5k BP you fight higher-ranked players which is probably why it’s been downhill since then. Makes sense right? You’re at the bottom of the next echelon of players so of course you’re getting beat up. You have to remember that until there is a point to dollars conversion rate, your points are basically meaningless. They are only a way to track your own personal progress.
