Hey guys it’s x45x, these are the videos from Bar Fights II. There are Posters, T-shirts, and DVDs still available at the Bar Fights II Store. There was a problem with the 4th video on YouTube, so in the meantime, you can just download the torrent which has the video in its entirety.
Also, we are holding a Q&A in the forums. Any questions about Street Fighter you want answered will be answered on a video or podcast by Gootecks. Go over to the forums and go to the Street Fighter 4 discussion area.
Okay so by now you must have heard the results of Bar Fights II. SoCal got stomped. The good news is that we have the full video from the main event with commentary available to download for free via Bit Torrent!
The Main Event is New York City’s Empire Arcadia vs. SoCal:
Also, if you are so inclined, we have t-shirts and posters available at the Bar Fights II store! The plan is also to do a DVD release of the whole thing, but we wanted to get the main event out ASAP so please spread the word.
Yay, I’m back! Yeah, it’s been a while, sorry for the lack of new shows. The good news is, here’s a new one! Topic of discussion is of course Evo 2009 which is right around the corner. This episode is the first of (probably) two episodes of phone/Skype interviews with various members of the community that will give several different perspectives on this year’s Evo, which is already guaranteed to be the biggest yet. Although it is a tournament, Evo is much more than just a competition to see who is the best in each game and that’s what I’m hoping to bring to the table with these special episodes.
This first episode has interviews with Mike Ross, Sabin and Ian Cofino. Mike Ross is Mike Ross so that’s why he’s on the show. Sabin is on Justin Wong’s team for the SF4 regional 5v5 exhibition match at Evo and Ian Cofino is the director of I Got Next, a documentary on the fighting game scene and will be at Evo to shoot footage for the longer cut of I Got Next will be released early next year.
Also included in the podcast is a special hip hop remix of some clips of Sabin and I from episode 23. Thank you to Jon Van Dalen for that! If you are so inclined, you can download it here.
Here are some of the I Got Next links mentioned by Ian:

Although we’re still waiting on some more videos to be put up on UFragTV (which include the player cameras as well as commentary by myself and Slasher, in the meantime Scott from the Arcade Infinity YouTube Channel has posted some videos to hold you guys over in the meantime. This includes the epic Mike Ross comeback which inspired that amazing photo by Kara (full site coming soon) from Get Your Tournament which you can download as a wallpaper.
Team YJDK: Mike Watson/Sin vs. Team EC: iloveu/Sabin
Mike Ross Unbelievable Comeback – Team Black $$$: Mike Ross/Keno vs. Team Tiger Knuckle: MAGUS1234/haunts
This is the video that triggered this amazing photo.
Wow, what a weekend! The Street Fighter 4/3rd Strike SBO 2009 Qualifiers were held at Denjin Arcade and they were awesome! Congrats to the SF4 winners, Combofiend and Alex Valle, as well as the 3rd Strike winners Emphy, Rom and Ricky Ortiz! It was a ridiculously long day (10am-2am) but it was still a lot of fun. Slasher (from Live on 3 with djWHEAT) and I did live streaming video coverage of the event.
If you were lucky enough to catch the stream on UFragTV, then you know how epic the entire day was (especially the finals). About 30 teams participated and we had some hard-hitting teams.
Some of the crazier matches were Mike Ross/Keno vs. haunts/MAGUS1234, iloveu/Sabin vs. fuson909/ComboJack and of course the grand finals between Ken I/Ed Ma and Combofiend/Alex Valle. All of the matches were recorded and will be available on UFragTV very soon. We still have to go through the matches and edit them a little bit.
