In case you didn’t hear, Sweden’s Dreamhack Winter, the world’s largest digital festival, was holding a Street Fighter 4 tournament with a $7,000+ cash prize this weekend. It started yesterday and the semifinals just ended. I got 5th. FML.
Anyways, Top 4 is going to be broadcasted on svt, one of Sweden’s TV channels as well as on the DreamArena site. The remaining four players are:
- Ryan Hart
- Zak “the Beastman” Bennet
- Singapore’s Dreamhack Qualifier (don’t know how to spell his handle)
- Sweden’s #2 ranked player (don’t know how to spell his handle either sorry)
The tournament’s organizers asked me and my GTFO.tv partner in crime camiwins to do commentary on the matches so please check it out at 1:30PM EST today which is very soon.

So what do you think of the Swedish competitive scene? Any good?

I put up videos of my own games and 1 game of each round in the winners/loosersbracket, couldn’t record more then one at the time since they played 8 matches at the same time. Atleast I got to record some qualitymatches with Xian, Gootecks, Ryan and our swedish players louie, skatanmilla and yagami.

New to all of this. Does anyone know how SF4 at the devastation event tournament works? – like, what console do they use for the tournament, and can I just use the regular xbox controller or do I need to buy one of those big controller things to use.
